Regional recovery / Stansted and the A120

Vehicle recovery on the Stansted and A120 corridor

Our regional recovery area includes the Stansted and A120 corridor, close to our Harlow headquarters. For breakdowns, accidents and non-running vehicles, call the recovery-only line any time of day or night.

Corridor roads and car parks

The A120 and surrounding roads are fast, and many vehicles stop in places where recovery is not straightforward. A precise location matters more than a general description, so note the direction of travel, the nearest junction and any marker posts.

Recovery can be arranged from public roads, car parks and driveways within our service area, subject to access and vehicle requirements. Restricted and airside locations require the site operator's permission and must be discussed before booking.

Information that helps us decide

Give us as much of the following as you can when you call.

  • Where you are and which way you are facing
  • Whether you are somewhere safe, and whether passengers are with you
  • Vehicle type, size and whether it has been loaded or modified
  • Whether it will roll, steer and has keys or a working handbrake
  • The destination, with opening hours if it is a garage

Keys, paperwork and who will meet us

Please have the keys, and the locking wheel nut key if there is one, with the vehicle. If you cannot be there, tell us who will hand the vehicle over and who will receive it, with a phone number for each person.

If the vehicle belongs to a company or a rental provider, check whether they require recovery to a specific location before you agree where it goes. That one call can avoid moving it twice.

After the recovery

Once your vehicle is safe, you may need somewhere to leave it. We can discuss storage through our trusted partners, confirmed before booking. Harlow is an office, not a yard.
